7th June.

Annette's knee still a bit sore so we decided to arrange for the packs to be transferred by road for the next two days and to catch the bus skipping nearly two days of walking along the section beside the highway and railway line. We didn't think we would miss that much and it didn't matter to us if we didn't do the whole walk. Contacted travel Lite and they were really good. Bags left there and on the bus to Altnafeadh where we were going to rejoin the track. This is the old pub.

Came across a pile of rocks like a grave and some one had placed a pair of boots out one end. Looked pretty funny or was it just the lack of oxygen. Scarred Annette just like Bob at work. (Lying down on the job)

Really beautiful country and I don’t know how the people use to live way out here.

Got to the top and it was a long walk down into Kinlockleven where we had booked into a hostel. Kinlockleven owes it’s existence to an aluminium smelter that has since shut down.

Stayed in this hostel. Run by two friendly brothers. Great place and clean.
