Six am and I am awake and tooth no better. Shower, liquid breakfast and packed. Wait till 8.30 to ring the local health care re possible dentist appointment. Yes, 2 pm. Great. Left the packs at the hostel (Which as it turns out was a great place to stay) and spent the next 5 hours walking around Stirling. Me not saying very much. Only one photo taken for the whole day.
In the dentist early at 1.45 pm. Tooth inspected, x-rayed, and as it was the very back tooth and off to one side decision made and extracted. Easy, quick, instructions given and cost about 14 pounds 60 p, thank you and goodbye. It was that quick and very appreciated by me. Collected packs and off on the bus to Edinburgh. Slept half the way which is becoming normal for me.
Arrived in Edinburgh to find it big and busy. Must admit the castle looked big and impressive up on the hill. Caught a bus out to the caravan park where we have booked a wigwam (timber tent) for 3 nights. Going to rain I'm told. The bus driver dropped us off at the wrong spot and was miles past where we should have been. He thought a storage yard for caravans was the caravan park. Walked a few miles just to get there but lucky for us the people living next door were on their way out when I asked for directions and offered to drive us to the right spot. They knew the lady that runs the caravan park and after ten minutes driving, I kid you not, we arrived and they all had a good laugh about it.
Ah a timber tent. Power, electric jug and a small fridge. Home away from home. Apart from a mile or so walk for the bus every day we are going to be spoilt here.
