21st May. Monet Garden

Here is the view out of our window. Had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming.

Loved this. Thought it would fit in well at our block.

Up early to beat the crowd to Monet Garden. No way. Might have been first in line but the bloody tour buses got in half an hour earlier. Had a good look around. Interesting and well worth the visit. It was on our must do list. Here is a photo of us in front of the famous water lilies and wisteria bridge.

This is a shot of the garden from his upstairs window.

Finished here and decided to catch the bus back to Vernon as we walked yesterday. Got a few supplies and then off along the river Seine towards the coast. Where we will end up tonight who knows. Walking through an oak forest. Can you imagine, not a gum tree in sight and it is all so green.

Time for a rest and oh my poor feet.

Found some lovely houses along the river. Maybe this one would look ok on the block.

Some of the old houses appeared to have tunnels to the river. We were able to walk a fair way up this one before it was bricked up.
